Cross Timbers Chapter

Cross Timbers Chapter members on hike through Chandor Nature Trail, April 2023

Serving Palo Pinto County, Parker County and surrounding areas

Our chapter meets in January through June and August through November.  Our April and August meetings are hosted on-line.  In-person meetings are held in Weatherford, Texas.

In 2023, our chapter sold over 1,000 native plants that made their way to new homes.  Our chapter hosted several native plant walks and some great speakers — some of those are available on our YouTube Channel, including a presentation by Doug Tallamy on “Homegrown National Park”.

Our 2023 volunteer projects include the Pollinator Garden at the Administration Building of Lake Mineral Wells State Park and the Chandor Gardens Nature Trail.  These projects are open to any volunteers.

Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and knowledge with one common goal — to learn and share the importance of native plants.  Our monthly meetings feature a guest speaker or an activity, such as our October Native Plant Swap.  We hope that you will join one of our many chapter activities throughout the year.
